YOUTH LEADERSHIP INITIATIVE

My Brother’s Keeper PGC

A youth-centered leadership initiative lifting up the voices, goals, and futures of young people across Prince George’s County.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Investing in the Next Generation of Leaders

Inspired by the Obama Foundation’s My Brother’s Keeper vision, our Prince George’s County initiative puts young people at the center of the conversation. We listen first — asking youth directly about their goals, their challenges, and what support would help them thrive.

What we hear shapes everything we build: mentorship, career exposure, skill-building, and community spaces designed around the futures young people say they want for themselves.

COMMUNITY IMPACT

Turning Youth Voice Into Action

When young people are asked what they need — and then see those needs taken seriously — something powerful happens. My Brother’s Keeper PGC transforms survey responses and candid conversations into real programming: mentorship matches, career pathways, and a youth council where young leaders help steer the work.

The result is a generation that feels seen, supported, and ready to lead in their own communities.
